One of the reasons why I love blogs so much is that there is very little risk of receiving a condescending smile when you're being fangirlish or simply enthusiastic about something.
Condescending smiles and looks are very unpleasant and don't make me too eager to talk to the person any longer.

On the other hand, I guess I should stop trying to subconsciously compare Down the Highway to Chronicles. Because DtH is a biography, and Chronicles is really good prose, so comparing the two books would be quite cruel to Sounes.

Either I'm not an atheist, or else the atheists I've met so far have not been real. It seems a bit superfluous and needless to keep stressing the fact that gods are unreal, all sort of afterlife is unreal and, anyway, people keep to religions only out of stupidity and fear.
